Biography

He is composer, pianist. He worked doing piano recitals in Brazil since 1975 (with 15 years old). Recently stopped his tours (as a pianist) and now he composing only. He writes mainly classical music (85% of his music) but sometimes in another styles (Jazz into classical forms, Pop Instrumental and with voice, Movie Themes etc). He is graduate degree in music - 1988. He wrote aprox. 300 works.

Guilherme Schroeter was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, January, 16, 1960.

He was born from a tradicional family of musicians. Harry schroeter his father, violinist, his mother, Maria Helena Didier Moniz de Aragão do Rego Maciel Schröter, pianist and piano teacher, aunt Olga Maria Schroeter, singer, Gustavo Schröter and Carlos Schroeter, drummer and flutist.

Hith 9 years old he started to accompaninents with his aunt, the soprano Olga Maria Schroeter doing Schubert and Schumman lieders with her.

First compositions with 12 years old. He made the first recital in 1975. He won the first award with 16 and first soloist performer with orchestra with 25 (Chopin E Minor Piano concerto). Startet with composition in 1979. And he started write music using Computer in 1995. He is graduate degree in Music on the year of 1988, a lot of Piano competitions, one travel to Seattle (USA), making concerts, and 3 Germany Master Classes in 1992/3 and one private visit to the great pianist Sebastian Benda.

In 1993/94 He made one travel to Germany (Master Class) with Ceslaw Kacinsky, Jorg Demus and Peter Rosel)
In 2000/1 travelled to USA, performing in recitals
