Wilfrid Lawson (born January 14, 1900 in Bradford, Yorkshire, England, died October 10, 1966, in London) was a British character actor.
His most celebrated role was as dustman Alfred P. Doolittle in the 1938 film version of Shaw's Pygmalion, the role later played by Stanley Holloway in the musical My Fair Lady (1964). Another noted role (yet uncredited) was as the uncle of Joe Lampton (Laurence Harvey), in Room at the Top (1958), filmed in Lawson's hometown of Bradford. Another memorable performance was as the ancient butler in The Wrong Box. Lawson was educated at Hanson Grammar School, Bradford.
