Wild orange
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wild orange refers to plants bearing fruit reminiscent of oranges. They are not necessarily related to the Rubiaceae (which contain true oranges) however:
- Capparis mitchellii (Capparaceae) in Australia
- several uncultivated Citrus species (Rubiaceae)
- Osage-orange (Maclura pomifera, Moraceae) in North America
