Teena Marie's debut album and first album with Motown Records released in 1979. Teena Marie's face was left off the cover so R&B buyers would not discriminate against her. It was the second debut from a white Motown artist. Singer-Songwriter Rick James contributed heavily to Marie's debut.

Wild and Peaceful peaked at #18 on the Black Albums chart and #94 on the Pop Albums chart.
