Wild Willy Barrett is an English folk singer best known for his collaborations with John Otway. His musical style is witty and his humour onstage is dry, but this does not always translate well onto recorded albums. He is known for virtuoso fiddle playing, ability with a great number of stringed instruments, and playing slide guitar with a whole raw egg.

Recently he has been performing vocal and strings for Sleeping Dogz, and closed the Cambridge Folk Festival in 2003, 2004 and 2005.

He is credited with supporting guitar / fiddle / vocals in a number of other albums, from Rolf Harris's version of Stairway to Heaven to playing fiddle, guitar and mandolin for George Hamilton IV.
