Wild triga is a type of intermediate wheatgrass, known since the Byzantine era, which has attracted attention because of its perennial nature. Researchers at The Land Institute and The Rodale Institute have undertaken breeding projects to increase yields from wild triga and have had some success thus far.[1][2]
