[edit] Templates and such

Hey, don't worry about it. We all have bad days. Just so you know, I myself struggle with the idea of the templates and admit to using them only because they're easier. To an extent that's unavoidable, but I sometimes wonder, simply writing up boilerplates of my own would make the message that little less personal. Xiner (talk, email) 03:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

I myself prefer not to use templates as much due to some people might fell like they might overlooked (such as the generic templates & responses you receive from technical support). I try to make all my messages straight from the mouth, but sometimes use a little template then modify it. --William Pembroke(talk) 03:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Beatrix.PNG listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Beatrix.PNG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. — MECUtalk 21:49, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

That's fine, delete it. It was uploaded a long time ago and servers no purpose. --William Pembroke(talk) 22:57, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
Serves, not servers. -- Zanimum 15:28, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
I really meant to misspell it. I just love to purposely do that, no need to be so belligerent. --William Pembroke(talk) 20:29, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Well don't. Unless the pun is obvious, it's useless in practical communications. -- Zanimum 15:03, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Obviously you don't know what sarcasm is, I was being sarcastic when I said that. --William Pembroke(talk) 21:27, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Battlefield 2142

Yeah, someone mentioned it on some AfD and I decided to take a look at it. Suffices to say that it was about 50kb of crap. Anyway, I'm keeping the article on my watchlist for a bit in case someone decides to try and revert. Axem Titanium 22:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Actually, I think I'm going on a (very long) wiki-break starting sometime within the next week, for various reasons. Take care of the article for me. If someone tries to revert war you about the deleted material, talk to someone anti-cruft, like User:A Man In Black to help you out. Axem Titanium 01:18, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay then. I'll see you when you come back. --William Pembroke(talk) 22:54, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Simon Cowell

That image you uploaded of him certainly not public domain. -- Zanimum 15:30, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Being that it was on a public site, I don't see how it isn't. --William Pembroke(talk) 20:28, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
First, I'm not attacking you, I'm stating the facts plain, simple, and directly, just like the subject of the photo would. Secondly, anything you create, even your shopping list, is instantly copyrighten under the laws of most "first world" countries, even if you don't put the (c) symbol on. Unless an images is explicitly marked as public domain, GFDL, Creative Commons, etc., presume that it isn't. -- Zanimum 20:59, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
Be that as it may, I have seen some of your photos deleted. And the attacks were referring to the "serves," not the copyright issue. --William Pembroke(talk) 23:25, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
"Copyrighten"! I love that. --JossBuckle Swami 02:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Excuse Me! Sock puppet?!!?

I know you are a very good person and all, but Chosenwiz4 is NOT a sock puppet. He is a registered user, and a very good friend of mine. This morning, he asked me what this was about, and I did not know. I was just trying to make an old friend of mine feel comfortable here at Wikipedia. He was contributing as an IP Address user, but until recently, I asked him if he wanted a Wiki account. He made one, and now you say he's my sock puppet? Look, I known you since the BF2142 incidents, and you're a pretty nice person. Why do you suspect I have a sock puppet? Because he made some edits to my user space? He just wanted to thank me for helping him out. Is that such a horrible thing, to help a friend in need? Please remove the tag from my friend's account. I DO NOT have any sock puppets. This is my ONLY account, ok? Thank you for your time. :)  INFORMATION CENTER©   00:09, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Well I've seen his contributions were very low, and normally when the user's edits are relatively low and have only a few of those contributions on actual articles normally the are sockpuppets. The signs were there, and I was suspecting it. I didn't know if he is or not, so I put the tag for review. --William Pembroke(talk) 20:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
Well, I already told you I have no sock puppets, so please drop this. I would appreciate if you would just end this ridiculous conflict. Thank you. INFORMATION CENTER© (TC) 01:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
