[edit] Berkshire east
You didn't break any rules; however, the vertical drop for this ski area is currently disputed (see Talk:Berkshire East Ski Resort); the resolution of the dispute will likely come from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Ski, regarding how it evaluates vertical drop criterion. So, until that is resolved, vertical drop should be left out of this article, to avoid potential edit wars. Thanks.--Pgagnon999 (talk) 03:42, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
P.S., I note that you have been going through a number of ski areas & making changes to vertical drop. This mission seems consistant with that of another user who indicated that s/he intended to do the same. This person has been previously blocked for editing warring over the issue of vertical drop. Given the similarities between your intent and that user's, and the general controversy over how verticle drop is measured, I would suggest you to cease making these adjustments and instead turn your attention to the Wikiski project page & create a discussion there about the issue of vertical drop with the aim of generating WP:consensus, which is the most productive way of dealing with the issue. Best, --Pgagnon999 (talk) 03:51, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
How do you talk to the Wikiski people? How do I find information on this controversy? I have absolutely no idea how to check this stuff and I don't know where it is. All I know how to do is edit the pages. I just signed up yesterday and am new!!! User:Willdakunta (talk) 14:33, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
- You disguised (mistakenly?) your username on your last post; I've reverted it back. I would highly recommend that, if you are as shaky as you say you are about how things work here, you invest some time with WP:Welcome before making any more controversial edits. You can also ask for advice and guidance; see WP:help for details. Best of luck & don't take it personally if your recent controversial edits to ski areas are all reverted. --Pgagnon999 (talk) 16:19, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:15, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit added disputed content to Berkshire East Ski Resort. When altering text, please specify a reason in the edit summary and discuss edits that are likely to be controversial on the article's talk page. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the text has been restored, as you can see from the page history.
