This user wonders who is watching the Watchmen

I am an editor who mostly dedicates himself to film articles. Erik and Alientraveller are cool people. I'm still a high school student (live in Springville, Utah), intern at the Sundance Institute. I'm the youngest intern there (everyone else is 18—19 years old). Hopefully this will be a turning point in my filmmaking career.

Here's my opinion on films

[edit] My films

Here's a stop-motion film I made that was never finished: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Zm_qGvZOsJc

And here's a recent film I directed/starred/edited/special effects coordinator, etc.: http://youtube.com/watch?v=CMvnfLvI1d0

I play the salesman, and the quality came out a little bad when I uploaded it. You'll love the E.T. reference.

I have many more that I haven't uploaded yet.

[edit] Major contributions

  • Good article American Graffiti: I sort of find it to be George Lucas' greatest film. I have always enjoyed stories of my parents living in Southern California and cruising the streets in the early 1960s. I think American Graffiti was the first film I remember watching. Intend on getting this FA status.
  • Good article Batman: Mask of the Phantasm: Favorite Batman film. Batman Begins was great, but not good enough. This movie is filled with beautiful animation, design, writing, flashbacks, everything. Kevin Conroy has the definitive voice. Christian Bale is still the best live action performer. I nearly puke and cringe at all the Anime shit going around these days. Were have films like Mask of the Phantasm gone?
  • Good article Batman (1989 film): Really good but not as great as Batman Begins. I look at Batman '89 as more of a homage to Bill Finger and Bob Kane's original stories from the late 1930s. Not finished with this article.
  • Good article Batman Returns: A definitive Tim Burton portrayal of Batman. Definitely not anywhere near the comic books, but it's interesting. I look at it more of an "elseworlds" storyline. This is what happens when you let Burton make whatever movie he wants with a large amount of creative control (and money). I plan to start from scratch and rewrite all over again on this article.
  • Good article Dick Tracy (film): Minor work needs to be applied. Not the greatest comic book movie ever, but still is pretty solid. Warren Beatty has a crappy toupee and Madonna still can't act, but oh well. FYI, Madonna got the role because she was dating Beatty at the time. Curious?
  • Good article The Iron Giant: The DVD has numerous special features. Still not done. Sad that all the shitty CGI animated Pixar films are all over the place. It seems classic animation like The Iron Giant is lost and gone forever.
  • Good article Sleepy Hollow (film): Minor work will be applied.
  • Good article Superman (film): Never will seem to be finished.
  • Good article The Truman Show: Collaborative effort with Alientraveller. One of my top 20 favorite films. Minor work will be applied, mostly the "Themes" section.
  • Good article X2 (film): Alientraveller helped a little. A lot may not agree with me but I personally find X-Men to be better. X2 is a solid sequel but it felt something was missing. Don't know what it is. Still sad Singer wasn't able do direct another. Brett Ratner is an asshole and I have a feeling that Singer's X-3 could have been one of the greatest superhero films of our time.
  • Beetlejuice: Not really my favorite Tim Burton film, in fact I think Beetlejuice is a little overrated. For some reason I was prompted to write a Wikipedia article.
  • Adaptation. (Guide): This has a shot at FA status, when I have the time of course.
  • Hulk (film): Hope to finish this article for GA status before the new film comes out.
