I'm new to this Wikipedia contributing and editing.

I work in the mining industry in Saudi Arabia and am hoping to add some good resource material to Wikipedia (as there's a real lack of it at the moment - on mining in Saudi that is), but it seems I've been blocked because my work PC / network uses an "open proxy". If anyone would like to offer some help as to how I get around this problem, I would be most appreciative.

I'm not a tech/it expert and this whole issue rather confuses me.
