Talk:Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr was a good article nominee, but did not meet the good article criteria at the time. There are suggestions below for improving the article. Once these are addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

[edit] GA failed

I have failed the article for not meeting the standards of the GA criteria. All of the current outside the links need to be converted to appropriate inline citations. Look to other passed GA/FAs for examples on how to do this. You can also find templates of inline citations at Wikipedia:Citation templates. The article appears to be broad, but could use some expansion on some of its sections. For example: on the notable attorneys section, perhaps mention why they are notable or the standards for deeming them notable. Some of the attorneys do not have articles, so it could be difficult to assert their inclusion within this section if nothing is said about them. Perhaps you can add a section about the financial status of the firm as well, as in the infobox you have $900 million in revenue. It would be better for the article to expand on this. For images, all you have is a logo which does not have a fair use rationale (which is a requirement for GA). If possible take a picture of one of the offices or see if you can find an image online with written permission for its use in the article. This article has a good start but fix these issues and look over the GA criteria before renominating again. If you have any questions about this review, please contact me on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Nehrams2020 00:22, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Guantanamo Bay attorneys

It would be good to include the names of the WilmerHale GTMO attorneys while the topic is still in the news. Melissa Hoffer is the only one we ever had listed. She's no longer with WilmerHale but she had apparently left only very recently.

If anyone has the rest of the names, please add it here, or in the article. They don't need to be linked if they're not public figures, or otherwise notable, but we should list them all eventually.
