Bridges is one of only two Australian World War I soldiers killed in action or died of wounds who was buried in Australia.
- Comment: Surely there were other soldiers who returned to Australia, having been wounded, who later died as a direct result of their wounds, and were buried in Australia. Can anyone confirm or otherwise? -- JackofOz (talk) 20:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
