What is the purpose of the seemingly irrelevent section about Walter Payton?

Some have questioned coach Mike Ditka's play-calling, as they believe that Payton should have been given the chance to score a TD in—what would prove to be—Payton's only Super Bowl appearance. Ditka himself even stated in interviews after Payton died from liver cancer in 1999 that his single biggest regret was not letting Payton score a touchdown in the Super Bowl.

As the article is about William Perry, and not Walter Payton, nor Mike Ditka's poor play calling, nor Super Bowl XX, it does not really contribute to the general knowledge about The Refrigerator. I propose this line be deleted, or moved Walter Payton's article.ThinkerTDM 02:28, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
