I just published a book, Shrink, which describes my actual experience as a student at Taft in 1969. In Shrink, I was kidnapped by a local Puerto Rican gang and eventually became the only known Jewish member. The book describes the changing atmosphere of Taft and the neighbourhood in transition, the poverty, crime, and influence of the Hippy generation. It can be previewed at www.lulu.com/wolgroch.
