I believe that the sentence "William's Religious affliction was presbyterian." (top of article) should read "William's religious affiliation was Presbyterian." Herodthenut 18:54, 5 June 2007 (UTC) Herodthenut

I believe that the picture in this article is of the other William Houston, who was a delegate from Georgia in the Constitutional Convention. Tim Daughters and Lily Duffield, Concord, MA —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.166.236.187 (talk) 23:34, 22 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Article clean up

The article needs additional references, the bio sketch provided is very, very brief and much of the info here seems to come from another source. I removed the reference to his religion from the summary, it does not contribute to the notability of the subject of the article, he was not a member of the clergy. Also, if he was a slave owner, but opposed to slavery then that most definitely should have a specific citation to explain the contradiction and I remarked that paragraph out in the edit screen if someone wants to expand and include it. And specifics about his service as a delegate to the Continental Congress should also be referenced I think. I removed the portrait, it was of a different representative.
