I'm concerned by one of the votes at the VfD page linked above.

What happens in, say, 500 years? Will most of the current articles be deleted by then, as being no longer notable? I should hope not. I should hope that we're creating something that will persist into the future. dbenbenn | talk 00:28, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC)
