[edit] Acceleration Units

Acceleration is not measured in the same units as speed. While speed is measured in \frac{\mbox{change in distance}}{\mbox{unit time}}, acceleration is measured in \frac{\mbox{change in speed}}{\mbox{unit time}}=\frac{\frac{\mbox{change in distance}}{\mbox{unit time}}}{\mbox{unit time}}=\frac{\mbox{change in distance}}{\mbox{unit time}^2}. Therefore, the information under the "acceleration" heading in the infobox in the article is inaccurate since acceleration can never be measured in miles per hour. I assume that "0 to 75 mph in X seconds" was what was meant but I don't know what the X is. I've fixed it up so that the acceleration won't appear until we have that X. Jɪmp 03:41, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
