From An Authentic Narrative of the Life & Actions of Jonathan Wild (Citizen and Thief-Taker of London) With the Crimes he stands charg'd with, upon a Commitment sign'd by Twelve of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace. To which is Prefix'd, His Effegies curiously engravn on a Copper Plate, and drawn from the Life by an Eminant Master. The "Effigy" was printed in variations in multiple places. Wild sits in the condemned hold of Newgate Prison, with his account book on his knees. Wild continued, while in prison, to keep his "list" of goods that came into his office and the monies paid for them.
