[edit] Regions
I want to note that I disagree with the clustering of the Panhandle and North Texas. -Acjelen 06:40, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- They are listed and wikilinked separately, but placed together in a section, as was done with South Texas and The Valley. "North Texas" is commonly used to describe both; this format makes things less confusing for newcomers, but provides wikilinks to educate them in the formal differences between the two. The fewer sections the better for now, especially given how unlikely a long listing of those from northern Texas is.
- But moving yourself from a regional listing to unspecified because of that? Tantrum, much? Shem(talk) 12:39, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- Those in the Panhandle do refer to their region as "North Texas" as well, though. Again, I'm trying to err on the side of casual newcomers here. Shem(talk) 20:46, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Meetup
Would it be reasonable to link Meetups here, e.g. the Austin one? Bovlb 13:26, 2005 Jun 19 (UTC)
- Ha, I'd wondered if some people might've started running meetups here on Wikipedia, ever since Meetup.com went subscription-only (listing meetups is fine with me). Shem(talk) 20:54, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC)
