Wikipedia talk:Wikipedia is not that important
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There is so much truth to this article. It's good to see the honesty and be reminded that there's more than just your computer!
[edit] Thanks for this page...
There are lots of people who need to read this page. I find new cases of people getting all worked up over Wikipedia every day when I'm active, and they'll end up making themselves ill. It's not real life people! It's, at best, a hobby. Lradrama 10:29, 17 June 2007 (UTC)
Edit: I disagree. Many people have come to trust the reliability of wikipedia, and it is becoming increasingly important. I personally turn to it first any time I am researching a new subject. The sheer volume of articles and hits should make that clear. The advice given here is good, but a better title for it (like, "It Doesn't Have to Be Fixed By Tomorrow") would be a good thing. - YAY! A side note to Wikipedia is not a battleground! Miranda 00:41, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
- Repeat2341, I don't think "it doesn't have to be fixed by tomorrow" is the point of the essay. if you wanted to rename it along those lines, "it doesn't ever have to be fixed," or, better yet, "who cares if it is fixed" would be best. Picaroon (Talk) 00:51, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
I think WP:SERIOUSBUSINESS should redirect here. :] shoy 15:42, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Very well, now it does! After all, all good essays need a good shortcut... and this essay, ironically enough, is one of the most important. Terraxos 00:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
