[edit] Timezones

Due to the everlasting problem of timezones I propose that the Participants for this would leave the times they're available, right here. This way it would be easier to discuss when the next recording session will be. is a timezone converting tool if you need help

[edit] G'day folks....

inspired by your efforts, I've been drumming up what support I can for Wikipedia:NotTheWikipediaWeekly whose inaugural attempt kicks off in a couple of hours... it's great to hear that you're back too, and hope we can encourage any and all interested parties to engage with 'real life wiki chat'.... [edit] Wikipedia is not finished

Ah! Please stop staying that there is nothing significant left to add to Wikipedia! Besides the many stubs left to expand and incomplete and unreferenced articles left to brought up to a respectable level, here are a few important articles in my own fields: Practical Education (a important work on educational theory by Maria Edgeworth and Richard Lovell Edgeworth); Political Justice (one of the most important political treatises in the 18th century by William Godwin, the father of anarchism); The Wanderer (novel) (a novel by Frances Burney, one of the most important novelists of the eighteenth century); and L'Ami des Enfans (a French children's book by Arnaud Berquin, which was important in the formation of the genre of children's literature). I could go on and on. Awadewit | talk 04:37, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Future topic ideas

I would like information about how to give future topic ideas. (Ashamedly) I've never listened, so I don't really know your format, but I could provide scripts or basic guide points. I have no interest in personally being on the show, but I might be able to find someone who would have subject matter expertise to discuss the topics on the show. The subject would be all about images in coordination with an event being planned for June. See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Image Monitoring Group#Wikipedia Image Cleanup Month .28June.29 for more information about what is planned. Any information about what you would need would be very helpful in planning. Thanks for your advice. [edit] Length of podcasts and transcripts or summaries

How long is each episode? Could that information be put somewhere, as it helps to know how much time to put aside to listen to an episode. Also, I see Wikipedia:WikiProject WikipediaWeekly/CurrentTranscriptions started but never really kept going. Would it be possible to restart that? Carcharoth (talk) 20:12, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Episodes are usually about an hour for panel and a little shorter for interviews. If you would like to restart the transriptions of our show, I wont stop you, but it was stopped because it took to long and speech to text formatters weren't working too well. 12:27, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] ID3 tags

Hi all. I was just wondering if it'd be possible for new episodes to be tagged better before upload, to make them easier to find on portable devices. I subscribe to some podcasts from the BBC online service, and not only do they have an artist/album name filled out, but they have a short summary in the "Comments" tag, and usually a pretty album cover to boot (e.g. the Radio 4 Friday Night Comedy podcast), which would be particularly nice considering you go to the trouble of creating a new one for each episode. Just a suggestion for the overall polish.

In a separate issue (and sorry to bring up technical troubles here), my podcast receiver always seems to download 100% of episodes, but then sit there and never realise they're complete, and so download them again the next time I open it up. Do people have these problems in iTunes and things, or is this unique to Juice? I'm confused 'cause it's only your podcast this happens with.

Cheers for the entertainment and discussion! -- Doubious (talk) 13:03, 23 April 2008 (UTC)

Firstly, We used to have an image for the podcast, but none of us really have the time to make them before we release them> Secondly, I have no problems downloading the podcast from iTunes. Also, I am not sure about how to add that info, but I'm pretty sure it is on the file caus eit is for mine. The Placebo Effect (talk) How's my editing? [edit] Everyone is Invited to the 1st Cebu Wikipedia Meet-up/Philippine Open Source Summit 2008

Could we ask for a 10 second plug? :) --Nino Gonzales (talk) 09:35, 19 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello folks,

The Philippine Wikipedia Community will be holding its 1st Meet-up in Cebu City (the fourth one in the Philippines) on June 23-24, 2008. This coincides with the first Philippine Open Source Summit, also to be held in Cebu. The Philippine Wikipedia Community is an Implementing Partner of the Open Source Summit. We invite you to join us in this event. If you are in the IT or IT-enabled services industry, this would be a great opportunity to meet people from the 4th best outsourcing city in the world. This is also a good excuse to visit our beautiful beaches :)

If you're interested in joining the Wikipedia meet-up, please join our discussion. You can register for the Open Source Summit here. If you would like some assistance with local accomodations, you may email User:Bentong Isles.
