Add me to this list, I'll gladly assist. I regularly use open proxies, tor, and I know how to use nmap to verify if an open proxy is being run. Blaireaux 18:42, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

I will do this when I have more time to check your contribs, unless someone else does it first. —Centrxtalk • 20:50, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

I would also like to help on this project if I am deemed qualified. --WinHunter (talk) 16:28, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey! I'd love to help out here! Sign me up :) (Figured, I wouldn't ask under Removes) SQL(Query Me!) 07:09, 12 September 2007 (UTC) Added myself, 3 months later... Maybe someone should be watching this page... SQLQuery me! 11:39, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

I'd be interested in helping do the open proxy checks. I'm familiar with DNS tools (whois, traceroute, RDNS, etc.) & querying blocklists. I've been working with IP networks since the days of accessing Unix boxes over dumb terminals using a command-line interface. The open proxy check backlog seems pretty healthy and could use some pruning down. --Ssbohio 17:40, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Soxred93

I'd like to help around here, as I know about networking stuff, whois, shared ips, RDNS, nmap, and more. I can tell the difference between an OP and a closed proxy. The backlog is quite big, and I'd like to shrink it. Soxred93 | talk bot 22:03, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

Added by SQL. Make sure you don't do any invasive scanning, and work closely with an admin (SQL is helping you, right?) and have that admin perform the blocks after review. You may wish to join Meta's project, also. ~Kylu (u|t) 03:49, 21 April 2008 (UTC)
