Hi, I ve remodelled the {{WPYU-GI-OH}} (template name also changed), to a version were you can specify more details, this is for managing all the project's workload. Hope you look at it at least, I'm looking forward to renew this wikiproject (Prevent pple at gathering surpass us)--Andersmusician $ 05:11, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Are fan works to be mentioned in anime articles?
Some kids at Talk:Yu-Gi-Oh!#yu-gi-oh_the_abridged_series want a fan work to be mentioned on the article page. I stated that mentioning it would not be notable. WhisperToMe 20:49, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
- You need to make sure you aren't confusing notability with the guidelines on having reliable sources - something does not have to be notable in order to be mentioned in an article but does if it going to have an article of it's own. Doesn't really make any difference though, I've looked for sources on the Abridged Series and haven't found any - so it shouldn't be mentioned. I don't agree with your stance that a fan work simply isn't worthy of inclusion regardless of the circumstances - see Harry_Potter_fandom#Fan_fiction for an example. [edit] Chazz's VA: Pete Capella or Tony Salerno?
I believe Pete Capella is Chazz's VA. Chazz's voice changed, Jaden's didn't. Pete Capella moved away, Salerno didn't. Can someone help me change his info page now? Batwing321 04:52, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Project Categories
All right that's it category:WikiProject Yu-Gi-Oh! is ready, you can check articles there and add more to organize the Project's backlog. You might also want to check hoew the project is getting improved at Project stats and project assess log --Andersmusician $ 23:40, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Does anyone know...
When the articles will be evaluated? Codelyoko193 Talk 15:03, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- hmm sorry what do you mean with "evaluated" --Andersmusician VOTE 16:48, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
The articles that have not been assessed yet (there are 38). Codelyoko193 Talk 18:08, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
- Anybody can, at anytime, and without conditions, just see instructions at template:WPYUGIOH. cheers --Andersmusician VOTE 00:04, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Oh. I had always thought that only admins could do it. Thanks! Codelyoko193 Talk 13:55, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
Just to point out, the 'rated', 'quality scale' and 'importance scale' wikilinks on that template are dead. Having not dabbled much with assessment templates before I'm not sure what they're supposed to lead to... BTW, is it OK for me to assess articles even though I'm not on the list of contributors to this project? Or can I be put on the list? Thanks. EvilRedEye 16:26, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Yu-Gi-Oh related game
Hi, do you know where this image (Image:Yu-Gi-Oh Spirit Caller.jpg) should be? It will be deleted after Tuesday, 17 July 2007--Andersmusician VOTE 01:34, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Starter Box
This article needs someone in the know to look at it. I'm not quite sure what the subject of the article is supposed to be. EvilRedEye 21:58, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Individual episode articles
Individual episode articles need to stop right now. I suggest merging and redirecting them all to their respective "media and release" articles. In fact, I suggest turning those pages into "List of Yu-Gi-Oh! media" and "List of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX media" and then imitating WikiProject Anime's Featured Lists. Please also see Wikipedia:Television episodes for why individual articles in the case of Yu-Gi-Oh! are bad in a big way. Axem Titanium 06:23, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
-
- Yeah, I support that, but hope episodes get merged by season, as a minimum --Andersmusician VOTE 03:58, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Too many characer articles!
Every other series has been getting a "Characters in blah blah Series" article, why is this one different? Can someone please start merging them all to one big article? There's no way all of those are notable. Also, please do the same to the Yugioh GX article. Some of those character pages are longer then the page for the show itself! I would do it but I have no idea what Yu-Gi-Oh is about... Knowitall (talk) 17:21, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Most popular series' main characters get their own articles. JuJube (talk) 17:37, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, but there's like 100 of them for Yu-Gi-Oh. No other series has that many. The series can't possibly have that many main characters...can it? Knowitall (talk) 05:57, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- pokemon had --Andersmusician VOTE 01:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well but these characters are apparently notable beacuse of yugioh audience --Andersmusician VOTE 01:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- maybe Talk:Yu-Gi-Oh!, the main article of the project --Andersmusician VOTE 21:57, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Content dispute at Yu-Gi-Oh! GX media and release information
- I hope someone from this project will offer assistance, as I haven't had much luck in getting anyone else to pay attention. There is a content dispute between myself and Taiketsu (talk · contribs) at this article. Initially, Taiketsu was blocked for revert-warring on this article, insisting that because this Wikipedia is primarily used by Americans, this article should list only the U.S. airdates, even though episodes have previously aired in Canada and the U.K. before here (and the last few have actually not aired in the U.S. yet). He's trying to circumvent the issue now by changing "English airdates" to "U.S. airdates" in the article. To me this is a clear case of systemic bias that should be avoided. I was under the impression that avoiding systemic bias was policy, but as it turns out it's not. I have an RFC on the article, but no response yet. Can someone help? I guess it's hard to get people to give a damn about Yu-Gi-Oh, but... give it a shot, please? JuJube (talk) 07:44, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
I agree with you. This is English wikipedia not American Wikipedia. Maybe Wikipedia:WikiProject Countering systemic bias can help.Jyuichi (talk) 05:18, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Taiketsu is wrong. The norm for these lists is to have the original air date and then the first English air date. List of Stargate Atlantis episodes is a good example of where there is actually a mix of US and Canadian air dates being first. -- Ned Scott 05:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed deletions (AFD) of note for this project
Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon and, supposedly, all the other sets in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game sets template, though the nomination seems to be incomplete at the moment. —Quasirandom (talk) 04:11, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
Another has come up: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of promotional Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards. —Quasirandom (talk) 01:23, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Another: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Duelist Pack - Jaden Yuki, which a multi-nomination covering several packs. (Dunno if anyone actually is here -- if not, then maybe the project should be shut down?) —Quasirandom (talk) 01:26, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Another: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Forbidden Legacy. —Quasirandom (talk) 05:06, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think these articles should be deleted. YGO Wikia goes into more detail about these, and that's the place for it, not Wikipedia. JuJube (talk) 18:57, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] List of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX major characters
- As the AfD for Chumley Huffington ended in a Merge, I'm going to try to get a List of major characters up when I have time. Heads up if you want to help or do it yourself. JuJube (talk) 18:57, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- I've started it at User:JuJube/List of major characters in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, but I would appreciate any help with completing it as I don't have a lot of time to work on it. JuJube (talk) 02:50, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Guidelines
[edit] WP:FICT has been revised
WP:FICT, the notability guideline for elements within a work of fiction (characters, places, elements, etc) has a new proposal/revision that is now live [1] Everyone is encouraged to leave feedback on the talk page. Ned Scott 22:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Notability (serial works)
There is a proposal to split WP:EPISODE into a more general notability guideline, Wikipedia:Notability (serial works), and make the rest of WP:EPISODE just a MOS guideline. Please join in at WT:EPISODE#Proposed split of EPISODE and/or Wikipedia talk:Notability (serial works). -- Ned Scott 22:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] The image of the four teenagers dueling
I'm not sure if this image is really appropiate, as it shows one teenager smoking which is against the law in most countries. Any other thoughts on this? --Jammy (talk) 16:50, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- well it may look inapropriate but it isnt in a official Wikipedia policy or an article itself, its in a Wikiproject page, so there shouldnt be much trouble about it IMO. user:andersmusician--201.230.120.135 (talk) 21:02, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
