Multipart Episodes
Is it a Wikipedia standard to put multipart episodes into one article? All the same, shouldn't this be a standardised thing? By that I mean, either ALL multipart episodes go into singular articles, or ALL multipart episodes get seperated articles. Not a big point, but it's bugging me.
In the Episode List, however, I think it should list all episodes seperately, like "Children of the God (Part 1) and Children of the God (Part 2). Hmm that reminds me. Roman numerals? As far as I know, SG-1 and Atlantis actually always use normal numbers there. Again, not a big point, but I thought I'd mention it. --alfakim 19:56, 9 August 2005 (UTC)
- Regarding a single article for multipart episodes, it's not a Wikipedia standard, but it's a convention that has emerged in practice. See "The Best of Both Worlds", "Unification", "Time's Arrow", "Scorpion", or better, "Children of the Gods". To keep with this fairly well-established convention, I think we should make it a standard.
- The difficulty comes when the episodes have different titles. Personally, I think "The Storm/The Eye" is a bit cluttered. Perhaps we could say that episodes with different names should always have different pages, but episodes with the same name (even multipart) should have one article. Ugh, but then what about "Avalon", "Avalon", "Origin"? It's a lot easier with Star Trek ;-) . Do you have any ideas?
- I agree that the episodes should appear separately on lists. If Stargate uses arabic numerals, we can change to that. Thanks for you comments.

- No problem. I think the change to arabic numerals is pretty easily done, but as for multipart episodes in general, perhaps it would just be simpler to always give each part a seperate page? Either that, or you could split all mulatipart-episode-articles into sections by Part 1: Avalon, Part 2: Avalon... etc.--alfakim 15:34, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Episode Guide Infobox
What do you guys think of adding a picture and the stargate addresses for the episode to the infobox like this:
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. --Mattwj2002 02:33, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
- Wow, the screenshot at the top looks really good. I definately think we should adopt it. Nice work.
- I'm not so sure about the gate address. I won't object, but I'm not so sure it's necessary.
- One other thing: Should we specify what characters the guest stars are playing? Or would that clutter the box. Thoughts?

- Your probably right about the Stargate addresses. I like the idea of putting who the guest stars play. What do you think about making the image bigger so the Infobox is wider to hold this extra information? --Mattwj2002 02:57, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
- I think the width is fine, I'm sure we can fit "Richard Dean Anderson as O'Neill" even if we have to wrap. As for the addresses: that's so cool, but is it a viable thing? Can we actually get gate addresses for every episode?--alfakim 15:37, 10 August 2005 (UTC)
Episode List
I have updated the episode list for Stargate SG-1, Season 1. What do you guys think of this format? Do we need to add or subtract anything? Comments would be greatly appreciated. --Mattwj2002 00:20, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
- Wow, it looks great. I was planning on doing the exact same thing (I used the template from Star Trek: TOS on season one and was working through it...), but then I fell asleep! Perhaps we can apply this template to the rest of the seasons. Thanks! Acegikmo1 01:12, 12 August 2005 (UTC)
