[edit] Need any images?

I live in Philly, I go to Drexel, and I take images of things. My camera does a decent job, and I have access to some nice photomanipulation software to make sure things come out looking good. I don't have a heck of a lot of free time, but enough that I might be able to help out. Let me know if this sounds good to anyone. You can see some sample shots at the Eastern State Penitentiary, or take a look at my contributions over at the commons.

[edit] Re: Proposed standards

I agree with the proposal for the SEPTA station boxes. I am a former Philadelphia resident, and I have excesive knowledge of the SEPTA system. As long as the destinations (e.g. "To: Glenside) are retained, I'm fine with this. --Miketherailfan 04:38, 8 November 2005 (EST)

[edit] WikiPhilly.com

I just signed up for an account over at http://www.wikiphilly.com, which bills itself as The Philadelphia Encyclopedia. It might be useful for content that would not meet certain criteria here on Wikipedia (for instance, content that might not be "notable" enough). Maybe some other WikiProject Philadelphians might be interested enough to sign up or edit at http://www.wikiphilly.com as well. --RunnerupNJ 02:55, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Philadelphia Pepper Pot

I need help expanding this article. I'm looking for good sources about the West Indian origins, its use by Quakers, and its supposed re-invention by Christopher Ludwick at Valley Forge. There seems to be a lot of legend and little in the way of facts, but I'm hoping someone can point me to some good historical sources. Otherwise, please jump right in and help out. Thanks. —Viriditas | Talk 05:30, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Turtle Rock Lighthouse

There needs to be a new image of the Turtle Rock Lighthouse. The current one only shows the top one of the light. Anyone with a photo out there of the lighthouse that falls under fair use or public domain? I think it would make the article look nice. Mrld (talk) 16:47, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
