Hi, I just joined up here and wanted to offer a suggestion. Template:Monster-stub seems..well, the name seems a little odd to me. Do any of you think that perhaps changing it to a cryptid stub might be more appropriate? Also, I came across your Paranormal accounts page, and it's not really very appropriate for an encyclopedia, even as a subpage of a wikiproject. You might want to consider moving the information there to Parawiki, and leaving a soft redirect to it in its place. --InShaneee 21:29, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

- Either one sounds good. Yeah, Parawiki is part of Wikia, a sister project to Wikipedia whereupon smaller, more focused wikis can be created with standards that are far more open than those of Wikipedia. For example, where the material in the subpage in question is generally frowned upon here, at Parawiki it would most likely be welcomed with open arms. :) --InShaneee 22:18, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

- You'll realize to move a page you don't cut, copy and paste there is a button at the top of history on a page that says move you click on it and you can change the name without losing valuable info. Plus use subpages on this page it's fine and dandy that ML said we could but it would be much easier stored on this page!! Mahogany-wanna chat?(Don't take my comment as an insult to your intelligence I just thought you'll should know being I learned the hard way)

- Depends on what it is going to be used for - if for bigfoot, loch ness and similar go ahead. But if werevolves, vampire et al are going to be included, it lends some sort of scientific credence to what is more properly called mythology. So if we are going to seperate along such boundaries, go ahead; else, stick to monster (which is in the English language used rather arbitrarily for both mythological beasts, dangerous/evil entities and (in the certain types of journalism at least) for unexplained, hypothetical animals. - A pix of a Grey alien for alien articles, a pix of a flying saucer for UFO articles, a pix of a XM-25 for paranormal articles in which weapons were used, like the UFO Incident at Hopkinsville,TN., a pix of a Demon for demon related articles, a pix of a angel for angel related articles. these are for the appropriate templates. [edit] Numerous stub templates
I notice that this wikiproject has created quite a few stub templates, several of which are lacking categories (and as far as I know, none of which have been proposed. Wouldn't it perhaps be a better idea to have a single {{paranormal-stub}} template, which by definition would have the right scope for your project, and avoid excessive fragmentation? Fine-grained categorisation you can still do via the "real" category system. Alai 00:55, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
