[edit] Non-profit organizations

Following the recent cfd discussion, I'm going to try to work on diffusing the contents of Category:Non-profit organizations into subcategories. If anyone wants to help, please do. --Eliyak T·C 03:10, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Awesome. I've been trying to give everything (a) a subject (in Category:Organizations by subject), (b) a location, and (c) a year of establishment. --Lquilter (talk) 08:23, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Charities / Non-profit organizations /Non-governmental organizations / etc.

Here's an idea: As a first step, Category:Charities could be renamed to Category:Charitable organizations to avoid the UK legal implications. Sound good? --Eliyak T·C 21:46, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

I like the idea very much, if it really does get rid of the legal implications -- does anyone know for sure if it does? --Lquilter (talk) 19:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Editing/Review Request?

I was wondering if anyone from the project would be willing to review the article for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. While, as a whole, I think it may be a good article, it was almost entirely written by the PR person for ACES, so it has some neutrality issues and often reads like promo material. While both the PR person and an editor from the Alabama project have done a little work from it, I think a more neutral party would also help and I'm not versed enough in organization article formats to feel comfortable doing major editing myself. [edit] Project template

I updated the {{WikiProject Organizations}} template for assessment. More work is required creating the related categories. There is now Category:WikiProject Organizations articles. (The template is related to that on Wikipedia:WikiProject Dance) Paul foord (talk) 09:49, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Center for Audit Quality - notable?

Not sure about this article, which is in the scope of this wikiproject. It was created by, and has mostly been edited by members of CAQ, and I'm not sure is actually notable enough for inclusion. Could someone else cast their eye over it? Fritzpoll (talk) 15:06, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Organizations: Articles of unclear notability

Hello,

there are currently 28 articles in the scope of this project which are tagged with notability concerns. I have listed them here. (Note: this listing is based on a database snapshot of 12 March 2008 and may be slightly outdated.)

I would encourage members of this project to have a look at these articles, and see whether independent sources can be added, whether the articles can be merged into an article of larger scope, or possibly be deleted. Any help in cleaning up this backlog is appreciated. For further information, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Notability.

If you have any questions, please leave a message on the Notability project page or on my personal talk page. (I'm not watching this page however.) Thanks! --B. Wolterding (talk) 16:00, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Non-profit organization

Why do the Categories for this article only show when editing? Kathleen.wright5 02:45, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

someone left the </ref> off Paul foord (talk) 12:21, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re:Organizations missing subject classification

I've provided subject classification for the articles that were in the above Category. The only ones I could'nt find a subject classification for are We Are Family Foundation and Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. Please note that I am not a member of this WikiProject.
