[edit] The Duck

Benny Beaver has an article, why not one on The Duck, aka the Fighting Duck? [1] Said article should include the "Mandrake" aka "Roboduck" debacle. Currently the Oregon Ducks article is under Category:College mascots, which is a little strange. Donald Duck is listed there as the mascot, and an image of the Donald/duck mascot can be found on that page. On the University of Oregon page, Fighting Duck is listed as the mascot, with a redirect to the relevent section on the Donald Duck page... Katr67 03:55, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, forgot about them, my duck is in the trunk, where it belongs. Aboutmovies 04:14, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Portland Golf Club

Content to use: 1946, Ben Hogan won the PGA Championship at the Portland Golf Club. 1947 hosted the Ryder Cup (event had not been held since 1939). Portland grocer Robert Hudson financed the British team's trip and made arrangements for course usage. “Many think the Ryder Cup would have ceased to exist if not for Hudson.” [1]

If someone wants to make an article, I'm working on Pumpkin Ridge. Aboutmovies 23:25, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Oregon School Activities Association

Now, you know I don't know much about sports, but this article seems to be growing into a collection of, well, not quite indiscriminate information, but quite a list anyway, if somebody wants to see if we need to list every school in Oregon when this should probably be done on pages about the individual conferences... Wow, that isn't very pretty, but I think the info is useful and encyclopedic. I made an article for PIL but I think that's an unusual case since it is so old and established. I don't see many of the other conferences being notable (especially since people complain about individual high schools being non-notable already...). What about if we have an separate article called "List of OSAA leagues" (or something) and shunt the lists of conferences/schools there? As for the rest of the article...yeesh...some tables would be nice... --Sprkee 22:11, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
