[edit] Subsurface currents

There's an article of the above title which appears to fall under the banner of oceanography. It looks in need of some work, so I thought I'd comment here to inform people more expert in the area. --The Brown Bottle 09:08, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

Although I came across it hitting "Random article" and cleaned up it as well as wikified it some, it's still in need of expert attention. I only cleaned up the formatting and prose a bit, but have no knowledge of the subject TheBilly (talk) 21:51, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed changes

I propose that this project be moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceans, and the scope of the project be changed accordingly. I could work on the various templates to change the name and introduce assessment criteria, and with any luck we could get a bot placing the banner as approproate a week or two later, with luck drawing in more members. I originally investigated interest in the project and then started it when I had more free time, but since then, got saddled with more work. There is some interest and it's a sorely missing project with related articles that could use the attention and standardization. I support your approach to cover the oceans more generally.
