Just testing this out (so it won't be a red link). Hoping others with an interest in Niger will come along from time to time and share what they're doing. T L Miles (talk) 19:51, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I to, but my experience with Chad has teached me that Francophone landlocked countries are very close to suffering the most severe systemic bias in all wikipedia :-( But, as they say, hope is the last to disappear, so you can never know :-) A first gol would be to make the Niger article a featured; unfortunately, I'm really full of real-life work, but I hope to find some free time in the next months.--Aldux (talk) 22:55, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Brilliant of you to add your name. I'm hardly an expert on Niger, but I do have formal training in the history of French colonialism in West Africa, so I have access to materials. Sadly, because nations like Niger are so neglected on English Wikipedia, I've kind of taken it as a mission to work on Niger, Mali and other Francophone nations simply because so few people can or will. The nice thing is that the main articles are included in the standard cd-rom encyclopedia, and so will reach many people. T L Miles (talk) 20:08, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
