[edit] Suggestions for the next installment of the Newsletter

Great work on the Newsletter User:ClockworkSoul! I guess I'll get the ball rolling and make a couple of suggestions for the next installment of the newsletter. I sure wish this was around a long time ago. GAThrawn22 01:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

  • User:Zephyris has created the Metabolic Pathways subproject, but I've noticed that he's the only member of the project. He's done a great job with it especially designing a bunch of templates that will be very useful here at Wikipedia. He needs a bit of advertisement. Hopefully, we can get some other members of the Molecular and Cell bio project to help him. GAThrawn22 01:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
  • I think it would be a good idea to give new members a formal welcome with the newsletter and introduce them to other members of the project. - GAThrawn22 01:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
  • I think many of the pages in the project needs some attention. The first place to start is the main page. We need to organize the information in a concise way and provide easy navigation to all the information so that the project's users can find. The newly created style guide also needs some attention/reformating. The diagram guide needs some help with creating/elaborating on the image library. I'm sure there's a couple more out there. Any suggestions? GAThrawn22 01:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
  • The protbox has been recently redesigned. It now has parser function capeability (meaning that all fields don't need to be filled out) and it no longer requires the user to know all the various templates in used in the previous version. Only a few protein pages have incorporated it - I think it's because too few users are aware of its existence. GAThrawn22 01:52, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
