I added the Category:Hessian football clubs. Maybe some of you can help me to fill in the Category for the available clubs. -Lemmy- (talk) 12:13, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Update 2008-09

If you consider updates in the summer break, please be aware that in the next season the 3rd Bundesliga starts and all leagues below will become a "lower tier".

Example: At present in the info box we write: "Oberliga Hessen (IV)". For next seasons it's "(V)".-Lemmy- (talk) 17:16, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WikiBureau Germany

I was wondering if any of you would be willing to come over to Wikinews and help write 1. Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and 3rd Liga match reports? Kingjeff (talk) 04:10, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

I'm kind of skiiny on time and have been sticking to club copy edits and the occasional new club article. Time to wade back into that for me. Wiggy! (talk) 12:59, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New season - new clubs

The 2007-08 season is almost over and that means a lot of new clubs will move up to the Oberligas and a lot of red links will appear in the templates again. Wiggy in the past has taken good care of removing those but others, like myself, might like to help, too. My proposol would be to make a list of football club articles required to keep the Oberliga level "blue". Also, this list could include other clubs, not currently on this level but considered important enough in the past to have a wikipedia article. Thirdly, we could also add a request section, where non-members can request a German club article. Anybody else got any ideas about this proposal? EA210269 (talk) 23:15, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

The page could be titled Wikipedia:WikiProject German football/Requested club articles, I think.EA210269 (talk) 23:18, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
I like the idea of a list of proposed club articles. Helps get me focused by providing a target (and I get that little secret thrill of acomplishment by bumping something off the list). Wiggy! (talk) 13:01, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
I'll be with you on this. I will search for teams promoted from the Landesliga (or the currently fifth tier) to the Oberliga and add them to the site EA proposed when they are all done. Some teams still have four days to go. -Lemmy- (talk) 21:19, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Ok, I will start working on the layout in my sandbox. You are happy with the proposed title for the page? See any better one? Thanks for the quick feedback! EA210269 (talk) 21:58, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
Go for it. Looking forward to the task. Wiggy! (talk) 22:04, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

It's done. Have a look, I'm sure it can be improved a fair bit.EA210269 (talk) 22:53, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

Works for me. Nice easy way to get around. Thanks for the effort. Wiggy! (talk) 23:39, 11 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Category:German reserve football teams

Regarding the establishment of the new 3rd Liga, should the four possible reserve teams competing in this league have their own article? In the south, the VfB Stuttgart II and the FC Bayern II, who look like making the race, already have their own article, and so does Eintracht Frankfurt II. But that's it in the Category:German reserve football teams. It looks like SV Werder Bremen II and Borussia Dortmund II are the lucky ones in the north and there is not a word in either article about their reserve sides. It seems, we got an information deficit there. Should we create separate articles about those sides (my preference) or add something to the first team article (an acceptable temporary compromise)?EA210269 (talk) 04:01, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
