Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fraternities and Sororities/Template proposal

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I would like to have a specialized template, not just a generic one. Please say what you think here, and maybe we'll use this--or another, better one that one of you can make, rather than just steal from the Scouting Project. Scoutersig 18:00, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I like it, is it possible to include the rating systems that the other wikiproject templates have? -- Chabuk T • C ] 18:26, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I like it, too. I assume it will grow in sophistication over time, but I see no reason not to adopt it as is, for now. Being a template, any changes made in the future (such as adding ratings or making the white background transparent) will be universilly updated, yes? BTW, I'm switching usernames soon. Keep up the good work, all, I've been away for a while. — vijay (Talk) 02:15, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Transparent pic

Can we make the wreath transparent somehow? the white image on a yellow background looks amateur. Ill try working on it myself once I get home and have access to photoshop. -Lanoitarus (talk) .:. 19:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Comments

I like the overall structure. However, would it be possible to add rating possiblities, etc such as in the templates for the Wiki project aircraft? I think it would be handy in identifying articles in need of attention etc. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 00:52, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

I like it a lot as well. I agree, it would be useful to add a rating system (for current status and importance level). -Elizabennet 02:30, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Agree. I like the structure, but needs ratings like (stub - FA). Bearly541 15:07, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Templage 2.0

OK, I've added ratings and ranking to the template, with the requirements to be found on the appropriate page. We're waiting on a transparent picture; is there anything else to be done to this template? I'd like to give it another week or so before making it an official template. Just leave some comments here. —ScouterSig 02:05, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

I approve. No more problems with it. Great job! -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 12:25, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
Aside from the transparent image, no issue. I tried to make it transparent myself, but couldnt get it to come out well. Either way, the image can easily be addressed seperately since it is not a key part of the template. Great work! -Lanoitarus (talk) .:. 15:31, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] APPROVED

Due to a consensus, or lack of a disconsensus, I've made this template the official one. Please see the project page for useage requirements. —ScouterSig 19:03, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
