Archiving?
Wouldn't it be an idea to start archiving old talk subjects to tidy the page up a little? I'll be happy to do it if anyone else agrees with me. Regards, Schumi555 09:24, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- If you could it would be great! The Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject UK Trams archive format is onle I like - any chance this could be implemented here?
- Cheers,

- No problem, I'm on it now. Any prefered way you want them archiving? Monthly for example? Schumi555 17:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- Hmmm... Not too sure at the mo! Theres not been much discussion atm, so maybe, at the moment, get rid of the stuff from the project set up, and then see what happens? Maybe the end of the year might be sufficient? I don't know - what do you think, and what about anyone else? Bluegoblin7 19:12, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- At the moment I agree and think it should be done monthly, then maybe at the end of the year put them all together into a '2007 archive'. I'll start by doing that. I'll create one for September and one for October. If anyone disagrees it can always be changed. Regards, Schumi555 21:46, 2 November 2007 (UTC)
- I've completed the archive. Any alterations suggested I will be happy to implement. Regards, Schumi555 22:31, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

New Look Bits...
Hi All,
I'm doing some new look stuff, but just wondered what you would want to see. I am also going to do some images specific to the project: Namely, a project logo, instead of the Derbyshire Flag, a mini-icon for the project page (no idea what yet though), and then also any others that anyone thinks are needed!
Also, I need some help... How can I change the colour of links? currently, I have a blue link on a blue background - please help!
Also, please comment too!
Cheers,

- I notice that you took the entire page from WikiProject Greater Manchester, it is not possible to change the colour of the linking text I am afraid, we had that problem on the GM Project with blue text clashing with a red background. └and-rew┘┌talk┐ 07:32, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

- That I di. Sorry - it just looks very good :D! It WILL change more, and look less like your project and more like ours, but as you know, things take time!

Further to the above...
I have now done a new project page, as can be seen (a few sections at the bottom still need to be merged from the old page).
I have also created a, rather primative, Barnstar for the project, so far awarded to Victuallers, Schumi555 and Xn4. Well Done!
A project logo is nearly complete and will be online tonight. Still need a mini-icon though. Hmm... What does Derbyshire have lots of?...

Request for help
Hello good people of Derbyshire. I have just created an article for John Mawe, a Derbyshire-born mineralogist, who wrote on the Minerals of Derbyshire (he is already mentioned in the article on the Peak District). Apparently there is (or was) a memorial to him in Castleton church. Could someone see if the memorial is still there, and if so, take a photo and add it to the article? Thanks in advance, best wishes to your project, DuncanHill (talk) 04:30, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
Not help but
Sorry - Derbyshire is a long county and I'm at the bottom but
- ...that John Mawe who studied the mineralogy of Derbyshire was arrested as a spy in Montevideo in 1805, before publishing accounts of his travels in Brazil? by DuncanHill
Should be on the front page in 5 days - Well done - good article. I'm sure we can find you a picture of debyshire minerals if not of this artual plaque. Victuallers (talk) 12:20, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

- Gosh thank you! I should point ouy that User:Tagishsimon did a lot to help make the article better. And thank you Schumi too, much appreciated. DuncanHill (talk) 18:00, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

Are you aware there is also an article about him on the Portuguese Wikipedia here? There is some additional information, for example the date he died. Regards, Schumi555 (talk) 18:20, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
- I've taken a look at that Portuguese article - apart from the date of his death in the lead, the extra information it has is about his visit to Santa Caterina, which I've imported. NB, pt:John Mawe seems to overdo the importance of On a Gold Mine in South America. Xn4 23:27, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
