[edit] Archive 2
We need a second archive for this page, but I'm not sure how to do it so the bot automatically archives to it. The DominatorTalkEdits 17:30, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] An Invitation from the Philippine Wikipedia Community
Hello folks,
The Philippine Wikipedia Community will be holding its 1st Meet-up in Cebu City (the fourth one in the Philippines) on June 23-24, 2008. This coincides with the first Philippine Open Source Summit also to be held in Cebu, and which the Philippine Wikipedia Community is a Implementing Partner in. We invite you to join us in this event. If you are in the IT or IT-enabled services industry, this would be a great opportunity to network with leaders from the 4th best outsourcing city in the world. This is also a good excuse to visit our beautiful beaches :)
If you're interested in joining the Wikipedia meet-up, please join our discussion. To register for the Open Source Summit, please contact CEDF-IT. If you would like some assistance with local accomodations, you may email User:Bentong Isles.

[edit] Draft Guidelines for Lists of companies by country - Feedback Requested
Within WikiProject Companies I am trying to establish guidelines for all Lists of companies by country, the implementation of which would hopefully ensure a minimum quality standard and level of consistency across all of these related but currently disparate articles. The ultimate goal is the improvement of these articles to Featured List status. As a WikiProject that currently has one of these lists within your scope, I would really appreciate your feedback! You can find the draft guidelines here. Thanks for your help as we look to build consensus and improve Wikipedia! - Richc80 (talk) 21:18, 25 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Kingdom of Bohemia
I recently found the article Kingdom of Bohemia. Much of the historical information at Bohemia could be moved to KoB; the B article would provide an overview of the region and its history, while KoB would provide detailed coverage. History of Bohemia could also be merged into KoB, as could possibly History of the Czech lands. Olessi (talk) 02:17, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
The bulk of "Bohemia" is its history section, most of which can be moved instead to "Kingdom of Bohemia". "Bohemia" would then have a summary of the region's history (including post-1918) and could also include information about modern Bohemia (regions, culture, etc.). The historical kingdom is certainly notable enough to warrant a separate article, but I'm not yet sure how best to differentiate its content from information at Template:History of the Czech Republic. [edit] Request for help at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion
There is currently a deletion discussion going on for a topic which is claimed to be an obscene symbol in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The discussion can be found at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Píča (2nd nomination). (Sorry if this offends anyone -- I don't speak Czech and the obscenity doesn't carry through to English-speakers.) I note that the Czech Wikipedia has an article about this topic, but it is very difficult to find reliable sources about it in English. Could anyone confirm whether or not the article in question is true, and if possible, identify any possible reliable sources? Thanks. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 01:58, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- Definitely true, not sure if notable on an international level. The DominatorTalkEdits 02:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] New maps
I made a couple new maps of Czechoslovakia. They're quite easy to change, so please let me know if you have any suggestions. - TheMightyQuill (talk) 16:14, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
