[edit] Parent project for this already exists
There is already a school project, Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools, with about 100 members. I don't see you listed as a participant there. I suggest that you look at it and join up. Then you might want to propose the Moreland District as a collaboration.--Hjal 04:40, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed merger
Considering that this project and Wikipedia:WikiProject Central California Schools to date only have one member between them, I think that the likelihood of their ever meeting the requirement of being "collaborations" is rather limited in the first place, but it is really unlikely that the two separate projects will ever be able to function effectively as collaborations. I would suggest that the content of the other project be merged into this one, with perhaps a separate subproject created if and when this main project gets sufficient members to do so. I would also suggest that perhaps the creator of these projects read the Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Guide for its suggestions on how a project can best be created, set up, and implemented. Otherwise, right now I believe both projects are technically good candidates for outright deletion, based on lack of membership and/or content. John Carter 19:22, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- support merge, breaking a state is too narrow in scope, bring back into this parent WP. Chris 21:25, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Merger
The WikiProject Central California Schools and this one were both started by me. The former was decided a too limited scope, but I do not know how to close it.
- Done. The unique content of the other project is now here, and WikiProject Central California Schools is now a redirect to this page. I still think that you would be better off doing this work within either of your "parent" projects, with a work page that contains the links and special templates that you find useful and a sandbox for drafting templates and such. If you do so, both of your pages could be redirected there for a while and, later, you could ask for them to be speedied. BTW, the unique subdivision of the state that you have come up with does not seem useful to me--you might want to use the regions into which the state's geo-stubs are divided, then you could suggest a parallel set of California school stubs.--Hjal 18:50, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:NC(S)
A new proposal for a guideline of naming conventions for schools is now been proposed. I would welcome your comments and input on it at WT:NC(S). Camaron1 | Chris 20:14, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Naming conventions (U.S. schools)
Following a discussion at WT:NC(S), a new proposal has been created for naming conventions applying purely to United States school articles, in a attempt to more easily gain consensus for adoption. Some input from the community at WT:NC(USS) would be great. Camaron1 | Chris 17:26, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
We are currently having a discussion on this proposed naming conventions guideline for United States schools at WT:NC(USS) to see where consensus and problems are, please feel free to participate. Camaron1 | Chris 18:17, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
