Featured Article Collaboration

It seems a little sad that we only have 1 FA quality article and 3 GA quality article. Especially if you stop to think that most of those are thanks to WikiProject Powderfinger. Would any others be interested in having a Featured Article Collaboration, where one article is collaborated on until such time as it gets to FA status, or even just to GA status for articles which don't make good FA candidates?

I figure there is no point going ahead to create a section for this with templates and the like if the consensus is that this isn't going to work. This project does seem a little quiet at the moment. Nicholas Perkins (TC) 03:01, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

It's a bit awkward that I've done 2 of the 3 GAs, and the FA :) I think we should keep working on Brisbane (now a GAN?) and try and get that featured. dihydrogen monoxide (H20) 04:46, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
I agree. Brisbane was going to be my suggestion. Nicholas Perkins (TC) 04:47, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

Just drawing everyone's attention to this. May come in handy for future stuff... dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 11:06, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Great, thanks for that. — E talk 14:01, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Future of WikiProject:Brisbane

I think it is important that we consider the future of this WikiProject. It appears that most operators are either silent or non-existant.

Is there a viable future for this project or should this be rolled up into WP:QLD?

  • Opinion - My thoughts is that perhaps it is time to wrap things up and look at doing things from a Queensland perspective. With the number of active Wikipedians within the project being small and the number of active Queensland Wikipedians being similarly small (in comparison to averages for other countries/states in the world - and it's all just speculation), it would be best to use the resources that are available with the right focus. Nicholas Perkins (TC) 14:16, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Just to add that I could be convinced otherwise. Perhaps if effort was put into meeting regularly online as a project group and fostering project member numbers like other projects. Of course, we all have limited time online, hence my comments above. (I have a habit of having 'other thoughts' after the first one...) Nicholas Perkins (TC) 14:20, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Keep The call to wrap up this project is premature. - Shiftchange (talk) 04:25, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
