[edit] Objectives
After thinking about this, IMHO the objective of this policy should be to follow closely the W3C accessibility work to the Wikipedia, that is to adapt the WAI documents ([1] [2] [3] [4]) into a policy and the Manual of Style. Therefore, it's not very important to specify the disabilities we would like to cover, that's the work done by the W3C.
WCAG 2.0 is not approved yet, and current draft is very critisized, so the policy should be mainly based in WCAG 1.0 (but adapting it to new technologies like XHTML). Probably the best option is to concentrate in Level AA, because usually it is regarded as only a little more difficult than Level A, and also Level AAA is simply too difficult to implement (and not well defined, so you cannot always verify if you have achieved level AAA or not). A recent study also advocates for Level AA.[5] Opinions? —surueña 20:49, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- Whoa, are you sure you're speaking English? In any case, I'll support whatever you want to do, surueña. I have full faith in your abilities to draft up an excellent policy. Let me know if there's something I can do. --(L'Aquatique: Bringing chaos & general mayhem to the Wiki for One Year!) 05:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

- OK, I'll probably ask for help in a short time. Note that although I've read some articles and documents about accessibility, and device independence, I'm not an expert in the field so this draft will take me a lot of time until I collect all the info. And please, feel free to correct all my typos, I suppose yesterday I was too tired :-) Cheers —surueña 09:28, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
