Wikipedia:WikiProject Writing Captions
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
How do you read an article? Start to finish without skipping, or do you survey the article before delving in deeper? Captions, together with their images, help the reader survey the article and lead the reader into the article. This project aims to improve captions in Wikipedia articles with pictures, in accordance with Wikipedia:Captions.

[edit] Articles needing review
Various articles need their captions reviewed. Mention here doesn't mean the captions are bad, just that someone should look at them with an eye towards the guidance at Wikipedia:Captions.

[edit] The list
List articles here to have a participant review it and write/improve captions as needed.
After review please strikethrough the reviewed article, noting who reviewed it and when. In the edit summary plese include a link to the reviewed article. After a week, reviewed article entries should be moved to Wikipedia:WikiProject Writing Captions/Reviewed log. Last review cleanup: epolk May 27, 2006
This list began as all unreviewed featured articles with images. Since captions are relatively new on the featured article criteria, it seems reasonable to review feature articles early in the process. Featured article candidates should also be systematically added to this list.
