Port of Vancouver
- Reason
- The port has a huge economic impact in Greater Vancouver. It is the reason for Vancouver's development as a major city. I admit that its impact is lessened by the importance of the ports in the surrounding municipalities (e.g., North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam, Delta).

- Actually, the Port of Vancouver, together with the Fraser River Port basically handle all major shipping from the Lower Mainland. That is, the Port of Vancouver covers North Van, Burnaby, Port Moody and Roberts Bank in addition to Vancouver. -- Usgnus 02:32, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
- I have to correct you there Usgnus. Deltaport is the major shipping port in the area. The Port of Vancouver is also a big player however. Stormscape 05:17, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
