[edit] Guidelines
Although they are nowhere near absolute guidelines, we will try to follow the applicable guidelines from the Wikipedia:WikiProject Trains/Manual of style for our articles, as by doing so we will probably be most likely to get our articles to good-article or featured-article status most quickly.
[edit] Open tasks
Please note that this is a start and this to do list needs expansion, as stated.

[edit] Candidates
Please add those articles that are candidates to become Good Articles.
- As well as the examples above, have a look at, for example Bristol Harbour & Somerset and their talk pages, as both show the type of work needed to bring good articles up to to this standard and they are recent. (OK they are not in Scotland, but I helped work on them)
- Caledonian Railway - B class - has the makings, but needs far more inline references and photos before it can be considered.
- the same comments apply to Glasgow and South Western Railway.
- Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock and Ayr Railway - B class - is another possibility.
- British Rail Class 303 - B class - is another possibility, but needs far more inline references & I suspect we could all find more photos.
- How about Wemyss Bay railway station - start class - , its a small article, it has architectural merit, its photogenic, there is a railway & steamer interchange, rivaly between Calley & G&SWR on land and water. It could be expanded as a team project.
- Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway - B class - could possibly be another candidate, however it has a similar problem to GPK&AR in that its missing information on rolling stock. (GPK&AR was submitted for GA but failed, mainly for that reason) --Dreamer84 10:42, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Caledonian MacBrayne - B class - is another article with promise, its almost unreferenced at present.
- Glasgow International Airport - B class - has the makings, but needs far more inline references and photos before it can be considered.
[edit] New articles

[edit] Assessment
We are considering implementing assessments according to the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Assessment parameters. If the members of this project would like to engage in such assessments, please indicate such on the talk page. Also, if we do engage in assessment, it may when we implement assessment be beneficial for us to determine which articles are of greatest importance to the project.
Currently, this page is at its basics. To view the parameters, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Transport in Scotland/Assessment.
[edit] Project structure
Many projects, particularly ones which do engage in assessments, have one or more project coordinators. These individuals will probably be the members most connected to the regular management of the project. Any members who believe they may qualify should feel free to nominate themselves.
