[edit] Tasks

[edit] Open Tasks

  • Musical evolution: A new section at the bottom of the Stones' main page. We basically need to chart the band's evoltion from their origins to today. As anyone can see the band's history is well covered. This section needs to detail influences on the Stones, differing instrumentations, and even the influence the Stones have had on other muscians. It would also be the place to talk of the Stones' live shows throughout the years and use quotes from the band.
  • Albums: Moved this to the top as I'm going to be spending the next few days expanding the articles on the Stones' album. Many are completely unsourced and quite honestly short and insiginificant. Started with Goats Head Soup and plan on bouncing around to whatever article "moves me," in the words of Keef. Feel free to take part.
  • Mick Jagger - Edit: The Jagger article basically needs to be re-written. Most of what was there has been erased due to lack of refs and the whole thing is a mess.

[edit] The songwriting articles

  • The Glimmer Twins - Could use some work. It seems to be the likely place for any quotes from Mick and Keith regarding production (duh).
  • Jagger/Richards - More quotes on the songwriting. Who does what and those sort.
  • Nanker Phelge - Just needs work.

[edit] Misc. tasks

  • Connect all Stones articles to the WP and have them rated.
  • Make sure every single listed in the singles template has an article.

[edit] Stones template

The album template and the Stones' main template should really be one template now that they're collapsible.

[edit] Songs
  • Street Fighting Man -
  • Sympathy for the Devil - needs more sources, fewer lists.
  • Memory Motel - add a few more sourced references, details about the possible girls from a source or two, touching on the life on the road quotes, it could be a GA; an underrated song that has lasted. (I stuck the new template on the article's discussion- others are free to use it too.)
  • Gimme Shelter - more sources, fewer lists.
  • Jumpin' Jack Flash - rewrite, sources.

[edit] Songs

[edit] Albums
  • Exile on Main St. - possibly more info, sources; how can an entire article be under the heading "History"? It is regarded as a landmark achievement for rock and roll music. There must be a great article there.
  • Some Girls - sources.

[edit] Tours
  • A Bigger Bang Tour - Probably the best article written on a tour thus far, for obvious reasons. Ample sources should be available.
