- The project began at Category talk:The KLF with a list of current and proposed articles on 23 Feb 2006
- Between that date and May 2006, several KLF related articles were created and raised to Good Article status
- The KLF became a Featured Article on 21 May 2006
- The WikiProject was formalised in Project namespace on 21 May 2006
- Category:The KLF articles by quality was created, and conditional code added to {{KLF}}, by Kingboyk on 25 May 2006. We were in the first 10 WikiProjects to join the scheme; there are now over 500.
- The KLF was selected for the Version 0.5 release of Wikipedia on 21 July 2006
- The KLF was named best article in the Humanities & Culture class at Wikimania 2006 (August 06)
- Fuck the Millennium became a Featured Article on 4 September 2006 (article at promotion)
- All You Need Is Love (The JAMs song) became a Featured Article on 1 October 2006 (article at promotion)
- The KLF was on the front page of Wikipedia as "Today's featured article" on 9 March 2007.
