[edit] Project banner

The {{WP Swimming}} project banner template should be added (not subst:ed) to the talk page of every article within the scope of the project. While the template does not require any additional parameters, it has a number of optional ones that add various extra features to the banner. The full syntax is as follows:

{{WP Swimming
|class=
|importance=
|portal=
|attention=
|needs-infobox=
|peer-review=
|old-peer-review=
|small=
|auto=
}}

General parameters:

  • class – a rating of the article's quality; see the assessment department for more details.
  • importance – a rating of the article's importance; see the assessment department for more details.
  • portal – if the article is used in the featured article queue of the Swimming Portal, the subpage number of its entry.
  • attention – "yes" if the article requires immediate attention; this should be used sparingly.
  • needs-infobox: Answer yes if the article lacks an infobox, otherwise remove this line.
  • peer-review – "yes" if the article is currently listed on the project's peer review department.
  • old-peer-review – "yes" if the article was previously listed on the project's peer review department.
  • small – "yes" enables the template to generate a smaller, right-aligned message box.
  • auto: This parameter is for the use of bots. It calls the {{stubclass}} template.

To avoid needlessly cluttering up talk pages, it is usually appropriate to remove any unused parameters from the template.
