| WikiProject Sims was formed on April 12, 2008 to expand the scope of all articles related to Maxis's The Sims. If you feel that you can have a positive contribution to the project, become a member by joining the list of members. If you don't know what to write or where to begin, or if you have doubts or ideas on how to improve an article, please address the project's discussion forum. |
| Goals |
The project aims primarily to:
- Create and improve articles whose content is connected to the Sims organization.
- Set up consistent structural and graphical layouts for displaying information on these articles.
Other goals include:
- Bring as much content about the Sims to featured status.
- Maintenance of the Sims Portal.

| The Sims WikiProject was created as an independent WikiProject and a Child WikiProject of WikiProject Video Games on April 12, 2008. The Video Games Project's Parent Wikiproject is WikiProject Games. |

- Label project-untagged pages by adding the {{WPSims}} template banner to their talk page. Tagged pages are automatically listed under a namespace-specific category (Cat:WikiProject Sims (RC's).)
- Help assessing tagged pages by defining the quality parameters, on the template banner, such as the class (completeness status) and interest to the project.

- Invite participants using {{WP SIMS INVITE}}
- Bring Sims, Sims 2 and Sims 3 up to Featured Article status
- Add infoboxes to articles that are lacking them.
- Create The Sims: House Party
- Bring main lists up to featured list status.
- Add info (league standings, statistics, rosters) to each season article.
- Get the Project's Collaboration started.
- Create a peer-review system for Sims articles.
