1. How did you first hear of Wikipedia, and why did you decide to become a Wikipedia editor?
A: I wouldn't be able to recollect when I first heard of Wikipedia, but it was in 2005. I decided to join the site to fix up game show articles and the NES article, specifically the Japanese side of things.
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
A: Probably my complete re-write of the Garry Moore article, to the point of it becoming a Good Article. I added the references, most of the info, and heavily re-wrote it. Another proud work is my work on the To Tell the Truth article, which is also a GA, but vastly needs clean-up now.
3. What is the origin(s) of your username?
A: Famicom (For my favourite video game system of all time,) and JL, which are my initials. FamicomJL
4. What other project(s) do you participate in on Wikipedia besides WP:PW?
A: I'm also found at the Game Show wikiproject, and the Queen wikiproject. Other projects I'm in, but am not as involved with, are the Television one, basketball one, NBA one, Good Article one, Video Games one, Anime one, college football one, and the Japan one.
5. What do you like most about Wikipedia? What do you like least about Wikipedia?
A: I like how anyone can edit it... but that's also a reason why I dislike it. I really dislike the people who think six sources are needed for something BLATANTLY obvious, and think that the conflict of interest ruling is a little broken... sometimes people revert edits of people just trying to fix the article of statistical things. Stuff that can be verified, but a wiki editor that wants to wave around its badge (Whether they're an adminstrator or not, I mean... non admins are guilty too,) stops that. I just think the WP:COI and WP:RS both are a little unfair in a way. Some things are hard to find a good source from besides the internet, and not in newspapers. How can someone cite that something happened on a certain episode of a game show, if they've SEEN the rerun on Game Show Network, yet can't find a good reliable source online to back it up? Do wikieditors think that editor's who have been editing for a long time just felt the need to make this up? In a nutshell... WP:RS is embarassingly strict.

Wrestling related

1. How did you begin watching professional wrestling?
A: Very early in my life... my Dad would watch wrestling with me while I napped on his lap. My Dad and I always stuck with the WWF, all the way from when we started watching, to around 2001 or so... Dad gave up earlier than that. I stopped because I was just getting sick of it. Thankfully, I haven't watched a full recent show in seven years, not counting WrestleMania every year, so I gladly skipped over Katie Vick and Al Wilson. I used to also keep a small watch when it came to Crockett's/Turner's gang.
2. Who is your favorite wrestler, and why?
A: Tough choice, but I have to go with Bret Hart. I was always a huge Hart Foundation fan, and loved Bret as a singles wrestler. He's one of the best of all time.
3. If you were to enter pro wrestling, what would you choose your entrance theme to be?
A: Another One Bites the Dust, by Queen. Sure, Junkyard Dog used it... but why can't I? :)
4. If you were in control of any of the major wrestling promotions (WWE/TNA/etc.), what would you change about them?
A: I read an interview somewhere where Bruno Sammartino said that the best thing for the business to do is shut down for a few years and rebuild from scratch... honestly, that's the best idea I've ever heard. Why not start from scratch? It's currently just a huge mess right now.
5. What has been your favorite wrestling match/event of all-time?
A: Match... probably Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage from WrestleMania III. Show, would probably be SummerSlam '92... I don't know why, but outdoor shows are just so cool to me.

Personal

1. What city/area do you currently live in?
A: I currently live in Long Island, New York.
2. What other language(s) do you speak besides English?
A: I speak Spanish decently well... was at one point trying to learn Japanese, but I stopped.
3. What are your interests?
A: Game shows have always been a big guilty pleasure. Classic video games are the second biggest guilty pleasure for me. My biggest guilty pleasure however is professional basketball. I've been following the game for... I think 22 years now. Always been a Knick fan, unfortunately. It looks like we're not going to get any good until James Dolan or Isiah Thomas leave (How about BOTH?) I'm also a pop culture dork... and love sitcoms from the 70's and 80's, with some 90's favourites sprinkled in. Huge horror movie fanatic as well. I also love anything done by Jack Nicholson (Except for Wolf, but who liked Wolf in the first place anyway?
4. What do you do in your spare time when you aren't editing Wikipedia/at work/at school/etc.?
A: Probably watching professional basketball, or talking to other people online. That, or spending time with my girlfriend (Online relationship... yes I know...), but that may be over soon. :(
5. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three items would you bring with you?
A: A BOX of bags of Corn Nuts, a laptop with internet packed in, and a television with every sports channel known to man.

Community-asked questions

1. Do you have a favorite Basketball team? (from ThinkBlue)
A: Unfortunately, the New York Knicks. I've been following them ever since I was little, pretty much. I've been through near the end of Bernard King's run, up until now. The Knicks really need to do a ton of things before they can be good again, mostly getting rid of Isiah Thomas and James Dolan, as well as a complete overhaul of their roster, but hopefully they'll be fine soon.
