Welcome to the Pro Gaming WikiProject, a collaboration area and group of editors dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Pro Gaming.

(For more information on WikiProjects, please see Wikipedia:WikiProject and the Guide to WikiProjects).

Goals
  • This WikiProject exists to create, maintain, and improve articles related to professional video gaming, its leagues, and notable teams and players.
Scope
  • Any article related to professional video gaming, its leagues, and notable teams and players.

Contents

[edit] Guidelines

Guidelines specific to the project can be discussed, but notes to keep in mind:

  • Source everything.
  • Write from a NPOV. It can be easy to write praisingly about your favorite player, but write objectively about his/her accomplishments instead.
  • Do your best to make notability apparent within the article. For example, if the person has won an international tournament, their article definitely should mention it.
  • Search! We have the marked advantage of covering a topic which finds most of its publicity on the web. You could find interesting, useful facts you've never realized before.

[edit] Open tasks

To-do list for Wikipedia:WikiProject Pro Gaming:

Here are some tasks you can do:
  • Requests: Create an article for mousesports, a top ranked Counter-Strike team from Germany.
  • Merge: Category:Electronic sports and Category:Competitive computer and video gaming
  • Cleanup: The article for Counter-Strike legend Tommy Ingemarsson really needs some cleanup.
  • Update: The KODE5 article is very outdated and needs a lot of expansion.
  • NPOV: The pages for the MLG teams have continued to worsen, and need a good neutrality copyedit.
  • Other: Tag the talk page of any article related to the project. I've started, but I don't know them all. Invite people to the project that you know would be interested.
