This page is for discussion on what the WikiProject Paranormal Collaboration of the Month should be. Anyone is free to contribute, but please don't nominate or support an option unless you are willing to help it improve if it is elected as the Month's collaboration. Anyone can nominate an article and can vote for the nominated articles. Every month, the votes are tallied, and the winner will be prominently displayed for a month, hopefully resulting in a community push to improve it.

[edit] Purpose of the collaboration
The purpose of this collaboration is to work up paranormal-related articles to featured article status. The articles should be on a major topic (ie, a highly linked to, high traffic page), especially those articles felt to be near enough to featured article status already such that a collaboration is likely to bring it up to FA quality.
[edit] Selection
The collaborations are selected by approval voting every one month period. However, in the unlikely event that no topic receives at least three votes, the collaboration from the previous month will be carried over.
[edit] Voting
If you support an article becoming the Collaboration of the Month, please vote, by clicking on edit by the article's title, and add a new line with the text #~~~~. This will add your username and the time you signed automatically. Please add comments if you wish.
- Please only add support votes - opposing votes will not affect the result as the choice is done by approval voting (the most votes, wins).
- Please vote for as many candidates as you like. Remember, any nomination with more than three votes is automatically re-nominated the next month, so it is beneficial to vote for any entries you would like to see become CotM.
- Only registered users may vote.
- Being a member of WikiProject Paranormal is not a requirement to vote!
[edit] Tie-breakers
To keep things simple, if two or more articles have both had the same number of votes by the selection time, the article nominated first is chosen as COTM.
[edit] Making Nominations
- At the top of the list of nominees on this page, enter the text
=== [[name of nominated article]] ===
. - Enter your reason for the nomination immediatly below, and sign it using ~~~~.
- Add
|collaboration-candidate=yes
to the {{WikiProject Paranormal}} template on the talk page.
[edit] Chosen Candidate
When a candidate is chosen, the template {{PCM}} will be added at the top of the article's page, and the name of the article should be edited into it in the appropriate places.
Discussion should then begin upon the winning article's talk page in a new section headed ==Collaboration of the Month==.
This is to allow the development of goals for the article at the beginning of the collaboration Month and could lead to the addition of a To-do list, thus presenting a clear overview of the work required. This would also permit the needed improvements remaining on display upon the talk page if the collaboration does not achieve everthing in the two weeks allowed.
[edit] Considerations
- Please only nominate Paranormal-related articles which are near enough to featured article status already such that a collaboration is likely to bring it up to FA quality.
- Giving reasons to why an article should be chosen will aid others in supporting.
[edit] Archiving
If a nomination does not receive enough votes (three votes for every month it is nominated) it will be archived.

[edit] Bermuda Triangle
A backbone article of one of the main Wikiproject Paranormal subjects, unexplained disappearances. Imparting to this article the depth and substance it deserves...then protecting it against potential bull**** edits of pseudoskeptics, should be a priority for the project. --Chr.K. 09:54, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- Totnesmartin 09:58, 29 September 2007 (UTC) Pseudoskeptics and true believers both. This article needs some common sense input from neutrals.
