- Khodori Institute and Khadorri College now both redirect to Kadoorie Agricultural High School. However, this is probably not correct! There are (were?) apparently two educational institutions named after Ellis Kadoorie, one next to Kfar Tavor, and one close to/in Tulkarm, where Kadoorie Agricultural High School is the one next to Kfar Tavor, while *Khodori Institute and Khadorri College refer to the one by Tulkarm. Soooo: an article about the school/college by Tulkarm is greatly needed. I would like to start it, but I know absolutely nothing about it, Regards, Huldra (talk) 11:07, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

- Qais and Yaman, the two large political parties/movements in 19th and early 20th century in Palestine. See under Husayni and Palestinian_costumes. The Khalidis led the Qais faction and the Husaynis the Yamani faction. In many/most articles on WP Qais and Yaman direct to articles which are hardly relevant! The Arabian tribe the Qais in year 600-700 has not much to do with the Palesinian 19th century political party/movement... An alternative would be to expand the Qais/Yaman articles, to include a section on Palestinian 19.th cent. politics. Regards, Huldra (talk) 07:43, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Purpose
The goal of the Palestine Collaboration of the Week is to raise one important, relevant article to good article status each week.
[edit] Nomination Section
This is the main page for the Palestine Collaboration of the Week. Please nominate articles that are in need of attention or should be expanded here. Please nominate by adding a new article at the top of this section. Follow the format of the other nominations when you add one. Please vote support if you are in favor. Each week, the article with the most votes wins! Have fun.
[edit] Nablus
Nablus has a lot work to be done; Its history section extremely short and quite uninformative. I need sources for the city's history real bad. Its sections on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict are larger than the history section combined and is not comprehensive. I want to summarize the sections into one decent-sized section under history.
I got "Demographics", "Government" and "Geography" handled and I will take care of the "Economy" section soon. I'm planning on making an "Education" section and another section (probably with several subsections) on "Culture". After all, Nablus is home to knafe and Nabulsi soap. The article needs to be referenced and copyeditted. There's nothing else wrong with the article except the lead and some minor MoS errors. I really need help on this article. --Al Ameer son (talk) 05:02, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Ramallah
Looking for another success like Bethlehem. The article has the same potential as Bethlehem reference and context wise. I'll make a to-do list on the article's talk page. --Al Ameer son (talk) 02:53, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Khalil al-Wazir
Article has real potential. I've been working on it lately, mostly expanding, referencing and copyediting, but the article seems to lack details in his roles in Palestinian wars and conflicts and military operations. There's also some verification issues, such as his role in the Coastal Road massacre and the majority Israeli view on him. --Al Ameer son (talk) 06:13, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- The article is currently waiting for a GA review so it doesn't have to be nominated any longer. --Al Ameer son (talk) 02:51, 22 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Palestinian fedayeen
I recently expanded this article. It could still use more expansion, particularly on casualty figures throughout the period and more on the philosophical grounding, objectives and tactics of the fedayeen. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tiamut 15:10, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Support The article has real potential for being a GA and not that much work needed. --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:04, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Progress - A new subsection (Airplane hijackings) has been added, virtually all existing sections have been expanded (in some cases, tremendously), the article has been well-illustrated, the lead section has been rewritten and expanded (however still missing info on tactics, primarily the hijackings), more text has been referenced (by reliable sources) and the article has become very stable due to mature and peaceful discussions on the talk page. Thus, the article is really getting into shape here, but it still lacks enough info on the leadership of the groups, infighting (both physically and politically), a reference to back the Israeli view on the fedayeen and possibly some MoS problems (I'm not sure, I haven't looked into the article in depth). --Al Ameer son (talk) 23:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Infighting section added but needs to more expansion and broadness in context. --Al Ameer son (talk) 06:06, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Bethlehem
I nominate Bethlehem for the next COTW. The article has a satisfactory history and recent events section (only missing a few citations), however lacks a demographics (population, religion), economy, transportation, a satisfactory geography and climate section, a government (mayors, municipal structure) and culture section. Some like Christian minority and Attractions would be merged to the appropriate above sections but theres really not much saying its a PNA city. Theres plenty of sources for the above topics and I think with some hard work (not even that hard really) we can make Bethlehem a good article. --Al Ameer son (talk) 05:21, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
- Support per nom. I guess since no one has voted, I will make it the collaboration of the week. I have already added a satisfactory demographics (population, Christian minority -already existed) section, a satisfactory government section, economy (shopping), and expanded geography and climate. I also added refs to these sections and others. --Al Ameer son (talk) 03:04, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Changed article, old article has been on template since last summer--DieWeisseRose (talk) 05:15, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
Note Its been more than a week but I think we should stick with this article because it is improving tremendously. Plus no other nominations have been made. I think in a couple of days, I will nominate for a GA review. Cheers! --Al Ameer son (talk) 16:38, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
New COTW article is Palestinian fedayeen.
[edit] Binational solution
I nominate Binational solution for the next COTW. The background section has some POV text in it. --DieWeisseRose 21:59, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- Support per nom. --DieWeisseRose 04:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East
I nominate UNRWA for the week after we do Palestinian Right of Return. It's in a pretty sorry state and it is also a very key article. --Abnn 06:10, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Support. It is in a poor state. --Ian Pitchford 08:06, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I nominate Palestinian Right of Return for COTW. --DieWeibeRose 09:27, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
