The Logistics department serves its purpose as a hub for skilled users to help articles expand their content to the featured article status. This department would help in the following ways:
- Copy-editing — thoroughly review an article and edit according to the criteria as specified in the Wikipedia manual of style and provide assistance to the authors pointing them to ways they can expand their articles.
- Graphics — create or modify graphics in an article in such a way that the articles content is enhanced to a superior status. This may include cartography, illustrations of photos.
- Translation — Translate native content available on the web into plausible citations and content. Another coverage area may include translating articles from Wikipedia in other languages to the current one or to translate content from the English Wikipedia to the Urdu Wikipedia.
- Sources — Check the content of the article against the sources and citations provided to ensure verifiability and accuracy of content delivery. Another main area of interest for people opting to check sources would be to deal with neutral point of view (NPOV) debates.

- FACR prose copy-edits — copy-editing for efficient reading flow, structure and elegance of the article.
- FACR technical copy-edits — compliance to the manual's instructions for dashes, hard spaces, numbers, etc.

[edit] Graphics
Graphics can add colour to articles and are considered a better approach towards understanding an article's content better. These may include maps, photographs or diagrams, etc. Following are the jobs of a graphics editor:
- Scavenger — a graphics editor that helps locate graphics on the internet that fall under the blanket of fair-use and possibly free images. Once a certain photograph is located on the internet, the editors then need to upload it to Wikipedia adding relevant licensing information and then pasting a link on the photography sub-project.
- Cartographer — editors affluent with mapping techniques or ones that can help located maps. It is required that scalable vector graphics images be used for mapping purpose, so if an editor locates a map on the internet that's not scalable, they can paste the external link of the map on the cartography sub-project and another graphics editor, adept with SVG images would recreate the map in the SVG format.
- Grim Reapers — editors who review and tag images used in the articles. If an image is not free, they are tagged for deletion but if their is a fair-use explanation, these editors notify the uploaders about it.
